Servings over 140 NZ Companies Exporting Certified Organic Products to 90 markets around the world.

Our membership network is diverse and includes a mix of New Zealand’s largest exporters through to smaller family based operations as well as the New Zealand organic certifiers and regulators. The core role of the Organic Exporters is to link members together to share knowledge and resources and make progress on the common issues as we strive to deliver the vision of a vibrant and growing organic export sector.

Applications for Organic Exporters membership are open to all organisations - including those not currently exporting, but which are interested in promoting the opportunities for New Zealand organic products.

Organic market opportunities continue to grow strongly but so does the complexity. The collective support and information sharing offered by the Organic Exporters network is increasingly important to navigate this environment as we strive to grow our organic exports.

New Zealand Organic Regulations Takes Another Step Closer

The Organic Exporters Association has been a champion for organic regulation in New Zealand since 2012.  The Executive Director was one the three foundation members in the inaugural “New Zealand Organic Regulations Working Group” in 2012. The Organic Exporters Association published the first Organic Regulations “White Paper” in 2015 for consultation with MPI.

Last year in August 2017 we met with the Food Safety Minister, the Honourable David Bennett to provide further framework. The Minister had also met with Doug Voss from OANZ earlier that month. We are working together to support the governments organic regulation project.

The change of government has not dampened the pace.  In November 2017 some of your Organic Exporters executive team met with government officials who are charged with part of the organic regulation team. The new Minister for Agriculture Hon Damien O'Connor said their is a real opportunity with organics and he expected to see a clear timeline for a national standard for organics before Christmas.  This year in 2018 we are waiting for the government position on this matter.

 2018 BioFach Nuremberg

14-17 February

BIOFACH, the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Organic Food, will be offering an insight into “the next generation of the organic industry” when it takes place again from 14 to 17 February 2018. Even more exhibitors than in 2017 will be present to help showcase the diversity of the global organic industry – which is why two extra halls, halls 4A and 8, are being used this time. The exhibition’s ain topic is “Next Generation”, and BIOFACH’s international patron, IFOAM – Organics International, its national supporting organization, the German Federation of the Organic Food Industry (BÖLW), are joining forces with the trade fair itself to highlight this theme.

2,793 Exhibitors & 51,000 trade visitors demonstrate the power of this event.  For tickets and any support contact our member and the official NZ office for BioFach at
